The NEA: Boondoggle Or Money Well Spent?

Remember the National Endowment for the Arts?

Those are the folks who spent taxpayer money on “artwork” by Andre Serrano (”Piss Christ”) and the late Robert Mapplethorpe’s homoerotic photography.

Now the NEA is back in a big way with $124 million earmarked for this year and $128 million for next year: An all-night reading at a local Krispy Kreme of American author John Steinbeck’s 1939 classic
